Trusted Perception is intentionally exploratory.
This section records selected observations, experiments, research questions, technical discoveries, and emerging patterns from the project.
The purpose is not simply to collect interesting technology.
Each investigation ultimately returns to one question:
What did this teach us that advances Trusted Perception?
Future field notes may include:
sensor experiments
edge-computing tests
software-defined radio experiments
robotics observations
interesting research papers
conference observations
GitHub projects
emerging technologies
sensor-fusion experiments
resilient communications
perception vulnerabilities
research questions
lessons from prototypes
Ideas may fall into three categories:
Work that directly advances Trusted Perception.
A bounded technical investigation that may reveal something useful.
An interesting idea that does not currently justify additional effort.
Curiosity is encouraged, but the North Star remains stable.
Rather than beginning with technology, Trusted Perception looks for situations where people must make consequential decisions without enough reliable information.
Examples may exist in:
industrial safety
infrastructure inspection
emergency response
environmental monitoring
energy
manufacturing
transportation
hazardous-material response
autonomous inspection
facility safety
national security
Finding the right problem is more important than finding another sensor.
